Nashville Predators Second Annual Pride Night

The Nashville LGBT Chamber is working with the Nashville Predators for their Second Annual Pride Night, which is at Bridgestone Arena on Thursday, February 23, at 7 PM. Almost 350 tickets have been sold, compared to 250 tickets last year, and additional seating sections were needed to accommodate the demand.

Sean Henry, Predator’s CEO and President, will address the crowd at a pregame reception in the Music City Rooms at Bridgestone Arena. The reception is made possible by the generous support of Dell and the Nashville Predators. “The Nashville Predators organization is proud to work with the Nashville LGBT Chamber on our second annual Pride Night. We were pleased with last year’s turnout and support by the LGBT, Ally and Predators fans. And we anticipate an even larger crowd for this year’s event.”

The Nashville Predators are the only professional sports franchise in Tennessee to sign the Tennessee Thrives pledge, which states that “We believe our workplaces and communities must be diverse and welcoming for all people, regardless of race, sex, national origin, ethnicity, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation or gender identity.” The pledge has been signed by over 350 Tennessee businesses and over 60 Nashville LGBT Chamber members, including Dell.

Lisa Howe, CEO of the Nashville LGBT Chamber, feels these types of event are not only important for the LGBT community but for the Predators organization as well, as it encourages the loyalty of a sometimes marginalized fan base for professional sports. "We are excited to again work with the Nashville Predators and encourage the community to support their local team who truly supports the LGBT community,” said Howe.
